Layettes

This is the signature program of every Christ Child Society chapter. Our layettes contain newborn essentials, clothing and diapers that are distributed to needy families of newborns through local hospitals and social services agencies.

Coats for Kids

Each fall, over 2000 new coats, hats and gloves are distributed to local children who are referred to our program through their schools or social service agencies.

“My Stuff” Backpacks

Children in crisis situations receive a backpack filled with age-appropriate supplies which may include toiletry items, school supplies, socks, underwear, children’s books and a teddy bear. These backpacks reach the children through our network with the Foster Family Association.

Tutoring

Our members aid local school children with one-on-one reading and math help at selected schools throughout the school year.

Crib Club at the Women’s Care Center

The three locations of the Women’s Care Centers assist new and expectant mothers by offering parenting classes, counseling and encouraging good health and self-sufficiency. Through their programs, coupons are earned to be used in the Crib Club which is stocked with new baby clothes, baby care items and diapers. The Christ Child Society provides and organizes these items and staffs the three Crib Club sites.
